Posted on January 21, 2020

The 2020 LEC Spring season is almost here, the event kicking off on the 24th of January. The LEC, also referred to as the EU LCS is the highest level of competitive play throughout Europe.

This is despite Riot heavily investing in Europe with the creation of various League, with the most renowned LoL tournament of all in EU remaining the LEC.

G2 Esports vs. MAD Lions Madrid

G2 Esports are the superstars of Europe having had a stunning 2019, finishing second in the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.

Given G2 had been able to keep their entire roster with the exception of a new substitute, it is likely G2 will continue to dominate the LEC.

MAD Lions Madrid on the other hand, despite being renamed, primarily come from the LVP. This match will undoubtedly be a one sided stomp by G2.

Fnatic vs. Misfits

This game is also most likely going to be a one sided win for one of the teams. Fnatic had finished only behind G2 Esports in last year’s LEC Summer split and playoffs.

On top of that, they qualified for the quarterfinals in Worlds only to be taken down by Invictus Gaming.

Misfits however, had a shocking finish to the summer season, placing 9th.

The lack of roster change aside from jungler Razork and substitute Ronaldooo only dooms Misfits further.

Similar to the first best bet of the week, while an upset is possible, it is extremely unlikely.
